Our branch church was founded in 1909, when services were held in the homes of members, many of them artists attracted to both the creative
atmosphere of Woodstock and the radical spiritual concepts of Christian Science. The current church building was constructed
in 1912 as the summer school of New York City's Art Students League. The sanctuary is flooded with north light from a wall
of windows that once provided ideal lighting for the art studio where classes were held. Artists continue to make up a large
proportion of the congregation.
