Historical
The members of this church met as a society
from 1899 until August, 1903 when the church was organized. For their first lecture,
given by Edward A. Kimball, C.S.B. on January 15th, 1904, a special train from Buffalo carried 160 people, in addition to many residents.
For a time the church had to revert to
a society, but in February, 1924 it met the Mother Church’s requirements to again be a church.
The dedication ceremony of the present
building was held on September 7, 1933 with the church filled
for each of the three services. The members had been able to build permanently and eternally “a temple not made with
hands”.
