“What Is Christian Science and How Does It Heal?”

A free lecture on Christian Science will be given

Monday, June 15, 2009, 7:00, p.m.in the auditorium of First Church of Christ, Scientist
161 Fair Street, Kingston, NY -
Would you like to understand more about God and His great love and care for all His children - including you? Are you searching for deep and permanent healing? Hear inspiring accounts of healing of serious illness, of addiction and abuse, and of being rescued from life-threatening harm, all through understanding God’s power and ever-present goodness, which can bring comfort, healing, and hope into your life today.To begin to understand how, a public lecture on Christian Science titled “What Is Christian Science and How Does It heal?” will be delivered in the auditorium of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Kingston, NY, by Martha R. Moffett, C.S., of St. Paul, Minn.“On nearly every front we are greeted with tremendous technological and scientific progress, progress which gives men and women increasing dominion over time and space – over the limitations of matter,” says Mrs. Moffett. “Isn’t there a similar need for advances in the healing arts?”“The power of the Christ, as understood in Christian Science:
Ø  Brings just such an advance to healing;
Ø  Teaches us how to heal as Christ Jesus did;
Ø  Restores men and women physically, morally, and spiritually;
Ø  Brings comfort, hope, and redemption to mankind.
Moffett has devoted her career to solving problems through the application of law, both human and divine. She earned her undergraduate degree at Smith College and a law degree from Boston University, and became a trial lawyer with the United States Department of Justice. In 1994 she left private legal practice to devote herself to the full-time public practice of Christian Science healing.
